We’ve had the privilege  of working with Sara from Vivid Events on a few events and we’ve been impressed to say the least.  Her attention to detail and amazing layout designs are exactly what a partner company looks for in an event planner.  This particular wedding was held at Taylor Grady house in Athens GA where we have worked many times before.  You may have seen the winter wonderland wedding at Taylor Grady that we produced in December.  This one, held in April was quite a different look.  We brought in a fully lined and draped 40×70 frame tent, Custom Farm Tables, gold chiavaris, and even our new Teardrop Wine Barrel Chandeliers for an amazing combination of country and elegance.  We also provided a stage, band tent, and custom cafe lighting over the dance floor patio.  Epting Events did the catering and florals while Sara handled the full event design, layout, and an amazing dessert table spread!  Southern Vintage out of Macon provided the vintage china.  Take a look at the photos below and be sure to call us for your Taylor Grady wedding.

What an event! Last year we traveled back to Lincolnton, GA to meet a client who had seen our work at a friend’s wedding the year before. This was to be a hometown affair and the family wanted the tent set up in a back yard that was not quite tent friendly. So last summer, the father of the bride began the process of carving out and grading a portion of their hillside property for his daughter’s big day in March 2013. The space was made to the exact specifications of our 40×100 tent and we visited the space a few times throughout the winter to see the progress. Many months later, the time was here and the space was ready! We designed the event layout below to provide seating for 230 of the estimated 250 guests incorporating banquet tables with a grand central walkway.

We worked with the client to design a chic silver and white affair. They brought in an incredible amount of candlelight decor and their designer even added some cool touches to the tent with ribbons and kissing balls. We suspended our gigantic 5′ drum chandelier over the all-white dance floor with an extra touch – twinkle lights to give it a shimmery look.

Contemporary style, sleek elements, and ultra cool lighting made this wedding at Goodwin Manor near Lake Oconee GA a super-stylish affair.  Amber and Colby’s wedding is certainly one for the books!  The ceremony took place on the front steps of this beautiful Antebellum mansion followed by cocktail hour around back.  After several months of planning Amber decided on a multiple tent set up – one 40×80 frame tent for seating and a 30×30 frame tent for the buffet and food stations.   This allowed room for a head table, large dance floor and some highboys without crowding the seated guests.  We also used a single, curved bar near the main entrance, giving guests access from multiple sides.

The most spectacular effects came from above in this wedding.  We installed full 40×80 liner to soften the tent.  This was a perfect backdrop to the two crystal chandeliers and the MASSIVE 5′ diameter mini-light Drum Chandelier we custom built for this event.  This drum chandelier was the event centerpiece and hung centered over the dance floor.  Light It Up Event Productions provided color LED washes that changed the color of the tent all night and the gorgeous custom monogram on the dance floor.

Melinda from the Farmhouse Inn wedding venue in Madison GA knew just who to call when her clients requested a true open-air farm style reception for their September wedding.  We brought in 23 of our popular Farm Tables for Rent  paired with mahogany chiavari chairs and custom cafe string lighting above the open area next to the farmhouse.  The client requested long, traditional lines for the tables and we were happy to oblige.  The Farmhouse Inn at Hundred Acre Farm is a popular spot for weddings and events throughout the year.  Send us an email and we can direct you to the right person to speak with.  Enjoy the photos!

Reynolds Plantation Weddings

We work many weddings on Lake Oconee at our local golf communities like Reynolds Plantation and Harbor Club.  We thought it was a great idea to feature a few photos from these events on their own webpage!

The Reynolds Plantation Pavilion is a wonderful spot for a wedding or event.  It’s inexpensive, located within the secure gates of Reynolds, it’s right on Lake Oconee, and with the rental of this venue, you are free to use whatever outside vendors you choose.  There is a covered pavilion that’s perfect for a party of up to 140-150 with space for dancing, food, bar, etc and in case your guest count is larger there’s a spot for a tent adjacent to the pavilion.  You can have your wedding ceremony out on the point right by the lake or save this space for outdoor seating or a bar.  After the party is over, you can have a dramatic exit by boat.  Here’s something you may not know.  There’s a whole second pavilion in another Reynolds neighborhood – the Reynolds Landing Pavilion!  This one is very similar but looks out onto the golf course and a quaint cove.  Check out photos of a couple of events we’ve done at Reynolds Plantation Pavilion in the past.  This first one was published on the cover of Southern Living Weddings Magazine with a 3-page spread inside the issue!

Harbor Club on Lake Oconee is an excellent wedding venue in the Lake Oconee area offering several different locations within the neighborhood for your special day.  They’ve partnered with the girls at Simply Charming Socials, a premier event planning and design company to keep the process of booking smooth and simple for their clients.  Two areas we have worked at Harbor Club include the horse stables adjacent to the polo field and the croquet lawn just behind the club house.  Both are equally stunning and match different styles and decor requirements for Lake Oconee brides.  One is a classic country feel while the other is a spectacular golf setting.

It was an honor when the Smith family contacted us about Lindsay and John’s wedding at the Taylor Grady House in Athens GA.  Though we’ve worked at this historical mansion near the University of Georgia many times, the larger guest count for this December wedding would require additional layout and design work.  Along with Andrée at Trumps Catering, we designed a T-shaped set up to use most all of the small backyard space at the house for 200+ guests.  We combined a 40×40 frame tent and a 40×60 high peak pole tent to provide 4,000 sq ft of covered and walled space to keep the cold out and the good times in!

Inside the 40×60 tent, the Smiths chose a beautiful lighting combination with our basic perimeter cafe lights and a massive crystal Empire chandelier suspended over the dance floor.  It was an elegant centerpiece and a huge focal point for the entire event.  Inside the 40×40, the lighting was kept simple.  It was enough to light the various food stations and the massive 24′ bar provides by Trumps.  Magdalena from European Floral Design brought in a gorgeous selection of florals to highlight each table and she placed large floor standing candelabras to mark the 20′ entrance.  Our mahogany chiavari chairs, large 20×20 dance floor, bistro tables (36″), and a huge 16×20 stage rounded out the list of rentals for this beautiful Athens Wedding.

The Athens Country Club in Athens, GA – what a wonderful spot for a tented wedding reception!

This was a bit different from the standard fare at the Athens Country Club.  Most clients go with a standard inside reception but when we were contacted by Jade Lee of Lovelee Affairs in Atlanta, we knew this one would be something special.  Her client wanted an outside affair, complete with lounge areas and specialized decor.  We worked with Jade and designed a two tent event.  The 40×80 pole tent was used for the seated dinner while the 40×40 Trac style frame tent was set up specifically for entertainment.  Inside the dinner tent, we included full sidepole drapes, center pole drapes, and our full cafe string lighting package to complete the design.  They chose mahogany chiavaris for the seating along with a mixture of 60″ rounds and our totally awesome King Tables!  We are so excited to have these tables in stock and love to see the neat things clients do with them.  Gardenia Floral Design did a wonderful job filling the space with fresh flowers!

Next door in the entertainment tent we installed a full liner, side pole drapes, perimeter lighting, a massive Empire-style crystal chandelier, and even some custom draped lighting behind the stage as a backdrop for the band.  A 12×16 stage and a 20×20 dance floor along with the band, Baby Go Box, kept the party entertained all night long!   Jade brought in Settee Event Decor to provide the bar, couches, and lounge furniture and I Do Linens provided the unique linen decor for the event.

We were ecstatic when Lauren and Jenny from It Takes Two Events contacted us to help with Lauren’s own wedding at a friend’s private home in Oconee County just outside of Watkinsville.  I knew this one was going to be a beauty!

The ceremony was to take place in the front of this beautiful home but without a tent so we created a rain plan option in case of in-climate weather.  If fact, the rain plan for the entire event included 5 tents for a total of almost 7,000 sq ft of coverage!  That’s a serious Athens Tent Rental rain plan!  Lauren did want a covered dinner with the protection of a tent in the driveway adjacent to the garage.  We decided on a 40×65 Trac Frame tent over the driveway which allowed us use a liner in the tent and soften the impact of the metal poles against the french country floral and decor.

We strung 500′ of cafe string lights across the entire backyard using the home as the base on one side and our light poles on the other for a beautiful European feel.   And we placed a 20×20 high peak tent back there as well for a bar and dessert table (one of our beautiful farm tables for rent).  The band set up on the covered porch and the guests danced the night away on a brand new 20×20 dance floor.  Check out some of these pics!

Mollie found us through a friend of a friend on Facebook and we are sure glad she did!  She was filled with great ideas and already in cahoots with some of our favorite vendors.  The wedding itself was scheduled to take place at Casa Banana II, one of our favorite lake-side venues on Lake Oconee.  This lake house is for rent (find it on this VRBO page) and is the perfect spot for a relaxed, family and friend oriented wedding weekend!  Mollie also hired on Le Petit Jardin out of Madison for florals and the “Farm Cart” from Farm 255 Restaurant in Athens.  These vendors along with our custom farm tables and matching mahogany chiavari chairs brought the farm-style wedding to the shores of Lake Oconee!  Here are some photos of this beautiful event.

We now have farm tables for rent!  This page will catalog photos from various events to showcase the tables with different decor, florals, and chairs.  New photos will go up after each event so check this page often for updates.

Our tables were custom made to our specs.  They blend with all types of decor from farm to vintage/rustic to formal.  They are 8′ long and 38.5″ wide.  Four guests can sit down each side of the table and two at either end for a total of 10.  For reference, a standard 8′ banquet table is 8′x3o” and our large King tables are 8′x48″.   The Farm Table’s medium width allows for large centerpieces with chargers or family-style dining.
